FORT DE BELLEGARDE
Built by Vauban in the 18th century, the fort is a masterpiece of military architecture. It was intended to watch over the two easiest entry points to France, the Perthus and Panissars passes. From its terrace, there is a unique view of the Roussillon and Empordà plains. Between France and Spain, the fort dominates the two Catalonia.
